Work in development, described at its present stage.

Life Intelligence LLC researches governed, organization-centered intelligence. The notes below name capabilities under development and the outcomes they are intended to serve.

Active research and development

LIZ

LIZ is an emerging platform under research and development. It is being designed to connect fragmented information, tools, workflows, and resources with each organization's goals and constraints.

The platform is intended to preserve source truth, keep uncertainty explicit, and support decisions and authorized action that remain directed by people.

Intended outcomes

  • Relate dispersed information and tools to the goals and constraints of a specific organization.
  • Keep the source of relied-upon material identifiable.
  • Keep incomplete or unresolved matters visible.
  • Support accountable human decisions and authorized action.
Research status
Active development. LIZ is not a fully deployed commercial product.
Maturity label
Emerging platform. Descriptions on this page are design aims, not measured operating results.

Contextual intelligence

An organization can hold a great deal of information and still be unable to use it well. Records, tools, and workflows often sit apart from the goals and constraints that give them meaning.

Contextual intelligence, as this research uses the term, means interpreting information in that setting: the work underway, the conditions around it, and the outcome the organization is responsible for.

Intended outcome

  • Situational understanding that stays tied to the organization's goals, constraints, tools, and workflows.
Research status
Active research. This is a design aim of LIZ, not a claim about a deployed system.

Source evidence and uncertainty

A sound account of a situation shows where it came from and how complete it is. This line of work treats source provenance and explicit uncertainty as requirements.

Material should remain connected to its sources. Gaps should remain visible to the people accountable for a decision.

Intended outcomes

  • Provenance that can be followed back to sources.
  • A visible distinction between what is established, what is incomplete, and what is unresolved.
Research status
Active research and development.

Governed engineering

Life Intelligence approaches the engineering as a governed activity. A system used by an organization should be directable and reviewable by the people who answer for that organization.

The emphasis is human sovereignty and traceability. Authority stays with people, and the path from evidence toward authorized action is meant to be open to review.

Intended outcomes

  • Human authority over decisions and authorized action.
  • Traceability from source evidence toward action.
  • Development that states its maturity accurately.
Research status
Active engineering research. No certification or completed deployment is claimed.

Application focus

The initial application focus is government, engineering, and business organizations. These are settings where fragmented systems, accountable decisions, and explicit constraints are part of ordinary work.

Applications for individuals are a longer-term research and development horizon. They are not the present focus of the work.

Initial focus
Government, engineering, and business organizations.
Longer-term horizon
Individual applications, still within research and development.
